On the second single from his upcoming album ‘Platitud’, Maqueta takes a hard turn from the dream-pop single ‘Imposible’ into a serpenting road of genres. Starting on a minimalistic electronic beat and a sub bass counterpointing with voice, then slowly transitioning into a monochord bass with modulating chords on top, building up a wall of sound that eventually disintegrates into a dreamy choral arrangement and an epic math-rock ending, 'La Semilla' proves to be an all-in-one condensation of songs and ideas that build up and down without ever letting go of the hand of the listener. We got a bit lost even writing these words for it, but one thing is certain: we're happy with the crazy ride we've been taken on.
